Mama Elephant: Chance of Rain

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing the new stamp set Chance of Rain . This set is super adorable with fun images and sentiments that perfectly match! I created a scene with the child sheltering her little teddy bear. I colored the boots in bright colors and kept the raincoats neutral so that the boots would pop. The umbrella was also colored a fun bright color.  I wanted to add a background to the card but kept it soft so the child and bear wouldn't be lost. To do this I lightly inked the cloud using a mask I created with  Landscape Trio . Raindrops from Chance of Rain  where added using the same ink color. I added the ground using the same technique but with a different die from Landscape Trio . The final step was to add some glossy accents to the boots and add a little bit of coordinating patterned paper. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Everyone! Ready for more Mama Elephant?!?! Today's card features the new Charmed stamp set with coordinating dies . I started by stamping the wreath and using the dies to cut it out, Then I die cut an additional wreath from green cardstock. The two wreaths together make a fun statement. :) Next, I stamped, die cut and colored the wreath, banner and heart. I layered them all together and added a few embellishments. Ta da!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Simon Says Stamp: The Color of Fun

Hey! Did you see the new Simon Says Stamp release...it's coming! June 11th. I'll be shopping, will you?!?!! I recently was gifted one of the dies in the release. I sat down to create with it right away. Wanna see? The new Relax die is so simple, trendy and spot on to what I LOVE working with! Beach themes are every where right now so I jumped right in with that in mind.  I created my own wave mask and did a few varied layers with  Sea Glass ink . It's very faint on camera but very cool in real life. Next, I used the die and mounted some patterned paper behind it from  Crate Paper's Poolside collection .  Finally, I layered more paper,  cardstock shapes  and a  frame  to complete my card. This card is perfect for the summer. What a great sentiment for an end of the school year gift or to send someone off on an amazing vacation or to help someone feel better.... So, what do you think of the new relax die? Remember, if you want this die, o

Mama Elephant: Playful Pups & Pop Up Trio

Hi! Today I'm over on the Mama Elephant blog sharing the new Playful Pups stamp set and Pop Up Trio dies. I've also thrown in another stamp set and die set because they are so much fun to combine! I started with a sweet little puppy from Playful Pups , used the coordinating dies and colored it with Copics. Next, I used my ink blender and Lemongrass ink to lightly color white cardstock and cut out two layers of grass with the Grassy Trio .  I love how the puppy can hid in the grass which ties in perfectly with the sentiment from  Woodland Gifts . The inside is what makes this card extra fun. Once the card reader opens the card the puppy, also from Playful Pups , is ready to play with the ball and the sentiment, from Woodland Gifts , continues. I used the Pop Up Trio  to make the scene stand out. Who wouldn't forgive these sweet dogs! I love them and I know you will too! Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Smooches: You're an All Star!

I love when a new die or stamp makes you look at your "older" product in a new way. Paper Smooches new larger Flourishes 2 dies has done just that.  I pulled out several stamp sets for this card including Party Posse , Noggin Toppers  and My Guy . I built a little scene, using the Flourishes 2 die to add the idea of movement. Fun right?! The Polariod Die  created the perfect frame (need more ideas for frames? check out my previous few posts) and grounded it all with some twine and washi tape. The little slugger was colored with Copics. He is ready to celebrate for Father's Day or to encourage your favorite ball player. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
