Just For Fun: Paint & More

Hi Everyone! Have you seen the new crafts section at Target? It's awesome. I recently picked up some paint (check out my Instagram account @ashmarcu) and wanted to incorporate it in to a card.  I started by die cutting a card using Mama Elephants Tags a Lot die , then swirled some paint in a big circle. Next I layered lots of die cuts (mostly from Amy Tan's new Rise & Shine collection). Next I layered in some washi tape and added the typewriter stamped with a sentiment from My Favorite Things You Gnome Me . Next, I created a Washi Bow using Bella Blvd tape and a Tim Holtz paperclip. It need a little bit more so I added some "paint splatters" with my Copics. Yep, I just dotted my markers here and there to create the look of splatters. Easy and not messy. ;) Thanks for stopping by today! It's time for more creating....

Just for Fun: Avery Elle

Happy Sunday! Today I'm stamping with Avery Elle's Fabulous Flowers! Gosh, I love this set. It's so fun, trendy, creative and perfect. *happy smile* It teams up nicely with the new Lawn Fawn inks. Let me tell you how perfect the colors are! They are so cheerful and ink up so nicely. :)  To create this tag I die cut the Tag, You're It  from My Favorite Things out of the new Journey 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper. Next I die cut a circle from Lawn Fawn's Circle Stackables . Then I stamped the flowers and leaves from Fabulous Flowers , making it up as I went. I taped the circle to my tag with Queen&Co Yellow Grid washi tape, then added a few die cut leaves to the edges. My tag is all ready for a spring gift! I can't wait to create a few more. :)

Creating for Fun: Lawn Fawn

Hi Everyone! I'm on spring break with my kids. My kids have a few classes this week but besides that we are just enjoying some free time! Hooray! This week, I thought it would be fun to challenge (okay, so it hasn't really been a challenge) myself to create just for fun. I've shared a few over on Instagram (I'm @ashmarcu come join me!). Today, I created with Lawn Fawn's Year Five  here's how... First I die cut a Polaroid from Mama Elephant's Polariod Fun . Then I cut a panel to fit behind it. On the panel I cut a circle from Sew Fancy  then blended Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed & Abandoned Coral). The otter was stamped with Year Five , die cut using the coordinating dies  and colored with Copics. I put it all together, adding some Bella Blvd washi tape and Pretty Pink Posh sequins.  The grey frame was cut with  Sew Fancy  from Avery Elle's Neutral Collection Paper Pad . The sentiment is Lawn Fawn's Scripty Saying
