Owl be Thinking of You

Hi Everyone! Just jumping in real quick to share my card up on the Penny Black blog today. There is a cold bug running around our house, my in-laws are in town and as you know Christmas is just DAYS aways so I'm busy busy here. :) This card was created using Greetings from the Wise, CityScape, and Enjoy Life (for the sentiment) from Penny Black. Hope you are enjoying the holidays!!

Jane's Doodles Guest Designer

Hi Everyone! I'm totally excited to be a guest designer for Jane as she celebrates the release of her stamp set Jane's Bakery . I fell in love with these images when she first created them in digital format but am beyond thrilled that they are now available in clear stamps! On my first card I repeated Jane's polka dot image to create a fun yellow background. I stamped the cupcake image, colored the wrapper with Distress Inks then placed it on the cake stand using a simple masking technique. I stamped the banner image and pieced it with coordinating papers and did some light shading with Copics.   There are a few little extras things that are worth mentioning about this set. First, you can carefully bend the banner to make it fit the space you are working with. Second, the "happy birthday" sentiment that is included in this set is two separate stamps so you can line it up and arrange it however you'd like to work with your design. The second card I mad

Hedgehogs and Distress Inks

Hi Everyone! I have a little tutorial up on the Penny Black blog today featuring the new Hedgehog Kisses cling stamp.  I love coloring with Distress Inks so I'm sharing a quick and fun way to ink up the hedgehog. For those of you that may be new to my blog you can also check out another example of this technique in a card I made for my brother HERE .  Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Day Peek

Hi Everyone! I'm SO excited to start sharing the brand new Penny Black Valentines day stamps! First up is a sweet image of Mimi. Don't you just love her headband?! I colored Mimi with a combination of Copics and Distress Inks. I highlighted Mimi's polka dots with a white gel pen and added Glossy Accents to her heart. The entire card front is backed with mounting tape so there is a little dimension as you look through the circle. The sentiment is from the Mimi and Miles clear set. Oh yes, this clear set is packed full of cute Mimi images AND her boyfriend Miles!!! Woohoo! I LOVE having a boy image! Stamps: Mimi's Heart 4118H, Mimi and Miles 30-063
