Pictures of a Princess

Thank you everyone for all of wonderful comments! :) You all are the best!!! Here are a few pictures from Rachel's first 48 hours.

Little Miss Sunshine

I am so excited to announce that Rachel Noel is here, happy and healthy. She arrived in just over 2 1/2 hours on Wednesday April 22nd at 4:03pm. She was a big buddle of joy at 9 lbs 21 inches! Peter, Nick and I are enjoying her so much and we can't wait to take her home later today. I hope to be able to share a few pictures soon. :)

Caardvarks Tree Challenge

Hi Everyone! I want to let you know about a super fun challenge going on over at Caardvarks ....its all about trees! Take a minute to check it out and better yet create a tree themed card of your own! Oh and did I mention that this challenge is sponsered by Taylored Expressions ?!?! She has a great giveaway for the winning card. For my card I stamped one of my favorite trees on top of patterned text paper from Making Memories Flower Patch line. I colored in the tree with several different greens and berry colors to give it a little interest. Materials: Hero Arts Stamp (Live Simply), Hero Arts Button, Making Memories Flower Patch Die Cut Artisan Paper, PTI Paper, White Pen, String, PrismaColor Pencils, ColorBox Chalk Ink. Have a great day!

Smile Laugh Giggle

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. I was super productive around the house on Saturday and then enjoyed watching my husband play soccer today while chasing around my son. Fun fun! I needed to create one more baby boy card so here is what I came up with. The layout is similar to the last card I shared but with a few small changes it feels completely different. Materials: Hero Arts Stamps ( Anytime Messages , Lily Pad Greetings , Galaxy of Stars ), Hero Arts Buttons, ColorBox Chalk Ink, Machine Stitching (w and w/o thread), Hero Arts Black Gems, BoBunny Patterned Paper, PTI Paper. Check back tomorrow for a fun new Caardvarks Challenge !!! You won't want to miss this one! I'm also going to set my blog to auto post just in case the baby decides to show up. :) :) :)

My Message

Hi Everybody! I'm still here...no baby yet. :) Its been a few weeks since I've submitted a card for the Hero Arts challenges so I decided to get at least one more in before the baby comes. This weeks challenge is to create a card with your own message. I used my Basic Lower Case Letters to create the celebrate message. I may get a little bit more creative in making my own message later this week if I have time but "celebrate" is one of my favorite sentiments so it worked well for this card. After I created the card I decided it needed a little something extra so I added Diamond Stickles to the buds on the leaves of the tree. Just a little sparkle. :) Materials: Hero Arts Stamps (Basic Lower Case Alphabet, Creative Trees ), Hero Arts Buttons, White Pen, ColorBox Chalk Ink, String, BoBunny Paper, AMuse Paper, PrismaColor Pencils.

Twinkle Twinkle

Happy Thursday! I just love the Hero Arts Galaxy of Stars stamp set. I will be using this one a lot! Stars are SO versatile and fun to stamp. I used the them for a subtle background and also the main focal point. I roughed up the edges of the blue paper to add to the boyish feel. Materials: Hero Arts Stamps (Galaxy of Stars, Card Messages), Hero Arts Buttons, ColorBox Chalk Ink, PTI Paper, String, White Pen. Time to relax and catch up on some TV. :) Have a great day!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 3

Hey Everyone! Just a quick post before Dawn's color challenge closes. :) I don't want to miss out this week!!! Materials: Hero Arts Stamps, PTI Stamps, PTI Paper, Hero Arts Black Gems & Buttons

So Very Happy

Hey everyone! Today is SUCH a good day! My best friend had a baby boy a few hours ago, the sunshine is out, I chased Nick (my 19 month old) around during Daddy's soccer game and now he is taking a super good nap.... I'm also tired and hurt all over but who cares about that? :) As promised I'm have another card to share today... I used a few fun techniques...first, I blended the sky with three different shades of ColorBox chalk ink. Its a pretty popular technique but this was my first go at it. The second technique I used was for the shimmery hill. I cut out the hill piece then ran it through my Xyron sticker maker upside down (so the sticky part was on top). Then I added glitter and pressed it down with a scrap piece of paper. Love it!!!! Have a great day!

Today I have another baby congratulations card to share....and another one to share tomorrow. :) This card would also be perfect for a young child's birthday. Love those happy elephants! A Happy Lamb

Happy Thursday everyone! This week is flying by and that makes me happy! Only 3 1/2 weeks until my due date. Yikes! Along with making several birthday cards lately I've also been working on some baby congratulations cards for a friend. I guess there is a baby boom. :) I've been having fun digging back in my Hero Arts stamps that I used so much last year. Its fun to bring them out again and do something completely new with them. Materials: Hero Arts ( Happy Day Animals ), PTI Stamps (Background Basics: Retro, Wishing You), PTI Paper, String, PrismaColor Pencils. Have a great day!

Two is Better Than One

Hi Everybody! I thought the title was appropriate since this card is for two challenges and I'm also about to have two kids. :) Dawn McVey's amazing color choices this week are my favorites so her challenge was super fun! I also used the sketch from Caardvarks which was simple and easy to work with. I can't count the times I've used my Four Stylish Owls set from Hero Arts. They are perfect if you ask me. :) I thought of adding some more stamping to this card but in the end decided to keep it simple and let the owl be the focal point. Hope you are having a great day. Oh and be sure to check back in on Friday for a very exciting announcement!!!!! I can't wait! Materials: Hero Arts Stamps (Four Stylish Owls, Live it Up), Hero Arts Flower, Bo Bunny & PTI Paper.
