Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 1

What a treat to have another fun color challenge to work with! Thanks Dawn! Her cards always have the best colors so be sure to check out her blog and get in on the fun.

I've been wanting to create this butterfly for a long time and I'm glad I finally found the right card to try it out on.

The antennae is made from a fine gage wire. I wrapped it around the tip of a pencil to get the curve started. So fun and easy! I love finding new ways to use materials that have been collecting dust in my craft box for years! :)

Materials: Hero Arts (Many Hearts, Anytime Messages), Ribbon, SU Scallop Border Punch, ColorBox Chalk Ink, PrismaColor Pencils, Wire.

Time to go peek at what others created for the challenge. Have a great day!

Mama Elephant: October Anniversary Stampede!

It's Mama Elephant Birthday Stampede time!  This is so awesome, right? I'm so excited you've joined me from Stephanie's blog! Today I'm a sharing a lot of stamping goodness! Now that I'm counting, my card uses 4 new Mama Elephant stamp sets ! This card all started with the sentiment. My kids are always buzzing around the house singing and one of their favorite is Everything is Awesome (Lego Movie anyone?). :) I started with a faint pencil line to create AWESOME from the new Block Party Letters . I colored them in with Copics and then did some creative masking and stamping from Happy Everything to add the beginning of the sentiment. Next I stamped the penguin and hat (from the new Artic Penguins ), colored them and die cut them for a perfect cut. The soft, grey striped background was created using the new Boutique Borders . All stamps and dies can be purchased NOW at the Mama Elephant store HERE . Next up? The very talented JJ Bolton !

There are so many fun images to choose from in this set that all centers around the BEST elephant stamp ever. ;) I started my scene by stamping the elephant, then I masked in the bunny and bubble blower. Finally, I stamped the bubbles, puddle and splashes. I was SO fun to create. I colored the images with Copics and added a little ink to complete my scene. I trimmed it down to fit inside of the Instalove Creative Cuts and stamped the sentiment. I know you'll agree that stamping this set is super fun but first...
